The Stainless Steel Powder Mixing Machine consists of two cone shaped sections with slope. The cone section is welded at their wide ends to a Centre band. The blender is mounted between two trunnions that permits the unit to tumble end over end. In operation, material is loaded to a fill level of 50 to 60% of the blender’s capacity. The blender tumbles and the material in the vessel spreads out. The transition area at the band between the cones prevents the material from siding along the inner wall and instead causes the material to fold over itself this provides gentle mixing with only very slight shear. The blender is ideal for powders of granules that degrade by attrition. The smooth transition area in the vessel also simplifies cleaning because there are no areas to trap particles and cross-contaminate batches. Automated Drum Loading System:

• Conical Blenders can be furnished with a PLC controlled automated drum loading system. With one full revolution of the blender, the entire contents of a product container (Fiber, Plastic, or Stainless Steel Drum) can be transferred into the blender and back into drums after mixing, in a dust free operation. This system eliminates costly mezzanine platforms, and other feed systems which require special docking mechanisms that create risk of spillage. During loading, the operator simply rolls the drum onto the roller conveyor, raises the lift to squeeze the drum against the valve discharge flange seal, and initiates the oad cycle. The blender slowly rotates one revolution while automatically opening and closing the valve, and stopping at the zero position. The empty drum is lowered, and replaced with a full container to repeat the cycle until all contents are charged. During discharging an empty drum is positioned on the roller conveyor and sealed against the valve discharge flange seal. The operator opens/closes the valve to fill the drum, lowers the drum, and replaces with an empty drum to repeat the cycle until all contents have been discharged.

Separation of solids from solids, liquids from solids and gradation of materials in accordance with their sizes have always presented problems, especially when large quantity of material is to be processed through finer screens. In recent times the most important development that look place it – the replacement of the conventional reciprocating motion by the gyratory motion in sieving and straining operations. Even if a particle is small it would pass through a screen only if its configuration relating to the opening is favorable.

For a non-isometric particle, the axis must be correctly aligned with respect to the place of the screen. And the center of gravity of the particle must be above the aperture at any instant. Further, the amount of material on the screen should be such that passage of small particles is not obstructed by larger particles.

It is therefore necessary to impart horizontal rotary motion to the particle by rotary motion to the particle by suitable means. Care also has to be taken to ensure that such motions, particularly during dry sieving of grading operation, should not be vigorous so as to cause size reduction of particles themselves or damage to the screen.
